Cable railway at Mt. Vesuvius, 1903
View of the building at the lowest station of the cable railway to Vesuvius and the track system. The building is managed and houses a restaurant. Vesuvius (Italian: Vesuvio) is a composite volcano made of lava and tuff. In the north lies the old cone, Monte Somma (1132 meters) on the edge of which an observatory is located at a height of 608 meters
