Cafe Bauer, 1869
The coffeehouse Bauer of the owner Mathias Bauer on the boulevard Unter den Linden in Berlin. The cafe was decorated in the style of the Belle Epoque. In the building beside the hall was a billiard room, a reading room and ladies room. This made possible for ladies to visit a public cafe. Inside were pictures of Christian Wilberg and Albert Hertel. In 1884 it became the first cafe to be fitted with electric lights
