The so called Buergermeister-Eichen in the Buch forest
The Buch forest has two old oak trees in the district of the Revierfoersterei Buch, named after mayors of the city of Berlin from before 1914: Martin Kirschner (mayor in 1899-1912) and Adolf Wermuth (mayor in 1912-1920). In the picture, men hold a 2m long measuring tape next to the oak named after Wermuth, of which age is estimated at 500-800 years
