Campaign against Simon Copper, 1908
In German South West Africa, the native inhabitants rebelled against German supremacy between 1904 and 1908, first under the leadership of Hendrik Witbooi and after his death in 1905, under Simon Copper. The German campaign under Captain Friedrich von Erckert was directed against them. In the picture, a stretcher for the wounded German soldiers
