Cancellation of wage lists on a Berlin Police Office, 1931
A policeman with a wage list. After the collapse of the third largest financial institution of the German Reich, the Darmstadt and National Bank (Danat bank), it comes to a run on the banks. The payment is restricted by emergency decree, so that money may be withdrawn only for certain purposes, such as for wage payments. The payrolls must however first be stamped by the relevant police station
