Caricature of Franz von Papen, 1932
Reich Chancellor Franz von Papen with a ballot box. When the newly elected Reichstag met on 12.09.1932, Reich Chancellor Franz von Papen already had the dissolution order signed by Hindenburg in his hands. The deputies were removed from office, but had previously voted against Reichstag President Hermann Goering (NSDAP) in a vote of no confidence. Franz von Papen is now without support and speaks out against democracy
