The second meeting of the permanent Front Line Soldier Committee took place in Paris. After the opening session the old front line soldiers of all the participating nations went together to the wreathe laying at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arc de Triomphe. The representatives of the individual countries lay sashes in the colors of their countries on the common wreathe. The Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha is pictured here placing the German sash with a swastika
