Children before a welfare place and Optanten (optants) placement site in Upper Silesia. After the plebiscite in Upper Silesia from 21 March 1921 the Commission of the League of Nations fulfilled the recommendation of the Council of the League of Nations and decided the division of Upper Silesia. The optants placement site is a shelter for the inhabitants of the separated parts of Upper Silesia, of the so-called optants who wish to embrace the option according to international law to keep the German citizenship
