View of the bell tower and church building of the Church of the Redeemer, Sacrow on the banks of the Havel, Jungfernsee, Potsdam, Prussia. It was commissioned by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia in 1844 and built in Italian style by Ludwig Persius. Until 1990, the building stood directly on the German-German border. The barriers of the Berlin Wall ran on the church grounds. In 1990 the ensemble has been classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
