The Church of St. Mary in Gdansk
This photograph shows the southern aisle of St. Mary's Church in Gdansk after an etching by J.C. Schultz. The construction on the church began in 1343. Inside is the Danziger Paramentenschatz (Danzig Parament Treasure), the collection of liturgical vestments, which is the most valuable of its kind. Nowadays St. Mary is a Catholic church and was used as a Lutheran church after the Reformation. In the inside more than 25, 000 people can be accommodated
