The steeples of the two churches in the district of Garmisch (St. Martin's Parish Church on the left, St. Martin's Old Parish Church on the right) stand in the early summer valley with its flowering meadows in front of the still snow-covered peaks of the high mountains (from left to right: Alpspitze, Hollentalspitzen, Manndl, Waxenstein, Zugspitze). To the left of the old church is the new school building (Burgstrasse 9, today an elementary school) built in baroque art nouveau style.
