The City of Flint, 1943
The cargo ship City of Flint was seized in 1939 on the North Atlantic by the crew of the cruiser Deutschland, as it was assumed that the ship would smuggle war equipment to England. The ship eventually landed in Norway, where the German crew was arrested. The City of Flint was sunk in 1943 by a German submarine
