Commercial building in Berlin
This commercial building in Berlin was the seat of Universum Film Aktiengesellschaft (Ufa) and of Scherl's travel agency. In 1916 Alfred Hugenberg took over the Scherl publishing house and later it was taken over by Max Amann, owner of the Franz-Eher-Verlag. In 1927, Alfred Hugenberg, later Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Food in Hitler's cabinet, became the owner of UFA. In 1933, Hugenberg transferred it to the NSDAP
