The Villa Devachan, the venue of the Conference of San Remo. At the Conference of San Remo the Supreme Council of the Allies distributed the mandate areas for the non-Turkish parts of the Ottoman Empire. Great Britain receives mandates for Palestine and Mesopotamia, France for Syria and Lebanon
