In 1933, the first congress of the German Labor Front takes place in the plenary hall of the former Russian mansion. On the government benches sit from left to right in the front row Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler, his deputy Rudolf Hess, in the second row Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen, Reich Interior Minister Wilhelm Frick, in the third row Reich Labor Minister Franz Seldte, behind him Reich Transport Minister Paul Freiherr von Eltz-Ruebenach and right behind Seldte is Secretary of State Otto Meissner
