Declaration of Austrian bishops, 1938

during the annexation of Austria to the German Reich, Austrian bishops declare themselves supporters of National Socialism. They call on Christians to vote in favor of joining the German Reich. The declaration is signed by: Cardinal Innitzer and the bishops Adam Hefter, Sigismund Waitz, Ferdinand Stanislaus Pawlikowski, Johannes Maria Gfoellner and Micheal Memelauer
