Destroyed shop window in Tunis, 1938
Italian residents in French-ruled Tunisia went on the streets in 1938 to demonstrate for the takeover the territory by Italy. Parts of the French population protested against this and, among other things, demolished the glass window of an Italian travel agency that is shown in the photo. In the German press this photo was published with the caption Jewish-Marxist terror tries to destroy the living rights of the Italian ethnic group
