Destroyer of the Kriegsmarine, 1939
The picture was taken from aboard the destroyer Z1 Leberecht Maass, a ship of the class Zerstoerer 1934, and it was part of a series called: a ride on the destroyer Leberecht Maass'. The photographed destroyer bears, oddly, the number 52 on the edge, but it has never been built a destroyer Z52, although there were plans for it in 1944. The numbers that can be recognized on the image should whether pretend a larger fleet size or it might be a photo montage it can not be determined unequivocally
