The Indian journalist Devdas Gandhi, son of Mahatma Gandhi, and his wife Lakshimi Rajagopalachari after their marriage ceremony. This marriage caused a lot of rejection and lack of understanding because of the differences between the two castes, since marriage was only allowed within one's own caste. Devdas, like his father, fought for India's independence
