Dietrich Eckart
Dietrich Eckart (1868 - 1923), German dramatist. Between 1918-1920 he was editor of the weekly Auf gut deutsch, at which also cooperated temporarily Gottfried Feder and Alfred Rosenberg. He turns in sharp form against the Weimar Republic, propagates a racially substantiated anti-Bolshevism and anti-Semitism and creates the slogan Germany wake up'. In December 1920 the Voelkische Beobachter, whose editorship took Eckart over was the official party organ of the Nazi Party. In 1924 was posthumously published the essay in form of a dialogue entitled Bolshevism from Moses to Lenin: Dialogues Between Hitler and Me which shows up Eckhart's fanatical anti-Semitism and indicates his influence on Hitler. Till 1945 Eckart belonged to the continually printed and quoted state writers
