As part of considerations for the protection against gas attacks by aircraft, one experimented also with gas protection for humans and animals. On a test area of the chemical plant Auerwerke near Oranienburg, in a large-scale test the possibility was checked, to protect staff and animals, as well as horses and dogs through specially produced masks from the action of combat gases
