The seaplane Numancia with the tail number M-Mwap is heaved aboard the HMS Eagle. In the background in a lifeboat are Spanish pilots who have been rescued by the crew of the Eagle. On June 22, 1929 the Spanish pilot Ramon Franco failed with the attempt to cross the Atlantic and was rescued seven days after the emergency water landing by the British aircraft carrier HMS Eagle
