Dornier Wal flying boat, 1929
The flying boat Wal Numancia with the tail number M-Mwap before taking off for an Atlantic crossing. On June 22, 1929 the Spanish pilot Ramon Franco failed with the attempt to cross the Atlantic and was rescued seven days after the emergency water landing by the British aircraft carrier HMS Eagle.
