At the Charlottenburg Gate, preparations were made for Adolf Hitler's birthday parade along the East-West axis (today: Strasse des 17. Juni) in Berlin-Charlottenburg. In the middle of the picture you can see the new building of the Deutscher Gemeindetag (today: Ernst-Reuter-Haus). The steeple of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedachtniskirche can be seen in the background on the right. The photo was taken on April 15, 1939
