Elisabeth Eugenie Amalie (also called Sissi, 1837-1898), Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary. The daughter of Duke Maximilian Joseph in Bavaria, since 1854 wife of Emperor Franz Joseph I, have put great importance on the settlement with Hungary. After the death of Crown Prince Rudolf (1889) she escaped from the court life through travelling. She was stabbed in Geneva by Italian anarchist Luigi Luccheni
