English submarine U55, 1919
The U55 submarine belonging to the English intervention unit was sunk in the White Sea by the Red Army in 1919. The ship was salvaged and the remains of the 38 sailors were returned to England. In the photo, the 38 dead are laid out in the hold of the English steamer Truro
