Erich Ludendorff, 1935

General Erich Ludendorff, Hindenburg's Chief of Staff since 8/22/1914, had since the victory at Tannenberg a legendary reputation. From 1916 he served as 1st Quartermaster General responsible for military warfare. After 1919, he was active politically in the nationalist wing of the German right. In November 1923 he took part in the Hitler Putsch in 1925 he was national socialist candidate in the presidential election. He died on 12/20/1937 in Tutzing
