Erich von Drygalski, 1925

Erich von Drygalski (February 9, 1865-January 10, 1949), German polar explorer and university teacher. Drygalski led the German South Pole expedition form 1900-1903 with the ship Gauss (Gauss Expedition). In 1906 he was appointed professor for geography at the University of Munich, until he became rector in 1921/22. The photo shows him at 60 years old
