Ernst Hanfstaengl, nicknamed Putzi, German pianist

Ernst Hanfstaengl, called Putzi, son of the owner of the Munich Art Institute, Franz Hanfstaengl, at the piano. After studying in Cambridge, Florence and Rome, Hanfstaengl worked from 1911-1921 as a representative of the Hanfstaengl Art Publishing House in New York and studied from 1922-1927 in Munich. In 1930 he graduated with a PhD. In 1922 he already endorsed the Nazi Party and was Foreign Press Chief for the Nazi Party from 1932 until 1934. In 1937 he left Germany, first to Switzerland and from there to England
