Ethnic German from the area Gottschee, 1936

Member of the German minority in the area Gottschee in Yugoslavia while traveling in Germany. Due to a special regulation, 50 Gottscheer farmers were allowed to travel for six months through Germany in 1936, in order to earn extra money for their families in Yugoslavia. On their travels they earned money with gambling which for them has been tradition since 500 years
