Eviction of Orjol, 1943

In the course of the eviction of the city of Orjol (Orel), German soldiers carry an injured civilian down the street. This Photo of the Propaganda Company (PK) (war correspondent Henisch) was supposed to hide the mass deportations and compulsory commitments from the German public and raise sympathy among the locals for the occupiers
