The picture shows the pilot and observer in a Heinkel He 45 (probably of the type 45 C) during an exercise at the reconnaissance pilot training school in Braunschweig-Broitzem. From 1934 to 1945 beside the reconnaissance pilots, the Luftwaffe also formed parachutists at this location.
