Exercise of young Italian marinaretti on a ship's mast

Boys between the ages of six and twelve balance on a permanently installed ship's mast in 1933, completing their exercises. They are all members of the Marinaretti, the little sailors within the fascist Opera Nazionale Balilla. The ship's mast is part of a training ground on the banks of the Tiber in Rome, the Balilla House of the Marinaretti in Lungotevere Flaminio Street
