Expedition ship Fram in the Antarctic
The Norwegian arctic exploration ship Fram was built in 1892 and was used by Fridtjof Nansen on his famous expedition in the North Arctic Sea. In 1911/12 Roald Amundsen undertook an expedition with the Fram in the Antarctic. The photo was taken in Walvis Bay during this expedition
