Family tree of the Roman Empire of the German Nation, formerly owned by the Kommerzienrat (Councillor of Commerce) Ludwig Gerngross in Nuremberg, who placed the artwork at the disposal of King Ludwig. The ivory carvings were made by master Michael Knoll in Geislingen in 1769. In the center is the double-headed imperial eagle and above the all the seeing eye of God
