Fascist party wedding gifts for brides and grooms in Italy
On October 30, 1933, 2600 brides and grooms married together at a large Italian Fascist event in Rome. In the picture, the couples are walking across Piazza dell'Esedra (today Piazza della Repubblica) and are being congratulated by the spectators. They then received wedding gifts from the Party Secretary of the Partito Nazionale Fascista on behalf of the Fascist regime and the head of the government, Mussolini.
