In the winter of 1914, the fire department practiced an emergency operation at the Berlin Cathedral. Several vehicles and teams with turntable ladders approached and directed their fire hoses at the cathedral. In front of the cathedral Emperor Wilhelm II followed the exercise with an entourage of officers and military personnel
