The first electric streetcar, 1881
On 16.05.1881 the first electric tram built by Werner Siemens was put in service on a route between the Main Military Academy in Berlin Lichterfelde and the Lichterfelde railway station. The tram did not yet have a tram wire, but got its power from the two rails. In the background that Military Academy
