The first prize of the student competition

The first prize of the student competition Volksgemeinschaft - Blutsgemeinschaft ('People's community - Blood community') is a wooden sculpture, the work of a 15-year-old student. The sculpture symbolically depicts the hereditarily healthy German family standing on the relief of Germany, over which an eagle with a swastika is holding its wings protectively. A touring exhibition of this competition, which is organised by the National Socialist Teachers League (Nationalsozialistischer Lehrerbund) with the Office of Racial Policy of the NSDAP and the Ministry of Propaganda, was scheduled to open in Koenigsberg in March 1938
