Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest, 1918
The Fisherman's Bastion was built in the neo-Romanesque style between 1890 and 1905 by the architect Frigyes Schulek. The name of the Bastion originates from the fact that in the middle ages the guild of fishermen were obliged to defend the castle from this terrace if a warlike confrontation emerged. There is the Matthias Church in the background
