Flyer against racism in Harlem, 1935
After the report was made public that a young black man was brutally beaten by police for shoplifting, this flyer was handed out to the white and black inhabitants of Harlem, asking them not to get involved in race riots but to turn together against the police and the employers. The flyer came from The Young Liberators, an organization which dealt with rights for African-Americans
