Framework of the German Zeppelin airship LZ 5, 1909

The framework of the German Zeppelin airship LZ 5 is made in the floating balloon hangar of Manzell at Friedrichshafen on the Bodensee. After its first flight on 26.05.1909 and a successful endurance flight (29.05. -02.06.1909), the LZ 5 was handed over to the military administration as Z II on 05.08.1909 in Cologne. After the airship had stranded on 25.04.1910 at Weilburg, the ship was finally scrapped
