After Pizarro had massacred thousands of unarmed Incas in Cajamarca in 1532 and captured the Inca king Atahualpa, began the chase after the Inca gold. The illustration shows how Pizarro trained his attack dogs to sic on Indians who do not want to hand over their gold to him
