This photo shows the Freikorps leader Franz Ritter von Epp (on horseback) and Lieutenant Colonel and member of the Freikorps Faupel-Goerlitz Wilhelm Faupel, in the Ludwigsstrasse, taking the salute of the victory parade of their troops after the conquest of Munich. Reichswehr and right-wing Freikorps troops took the power from the Bavarian and Berlin SPD in May 1919. This was the end of the Soviet Republic of 1918
