Frederick Cook with the Crown Prince Christian of Denmark
The American physician and Arctic explorer Frederick A. Cook (1865-1940) claimed that he was the first man who has reached the North Pole on his expedition on 21st April 1908, it was heavily disputed that Robert E. Peary reached the North Pole on 6 April 1909
