The war prisoners were granted a fortnight's leave in the home country. Here, the French Secretary of State Fernand de Brinon gives a speech at the station of Compiegne. Around Brinon are representatives of the German military administration of France, among others SS group leader Karl Oberg (left behind Brinon in uniform)
