This photograph shows a funeral procession for the SA man Max Gruebnau killed by Poles in Kalthof near Marienburg. The funeral procession is attended by members of the SA and members of the Danzig Senate. On the edge stand members of the SS and party members of the NSDAP and express their respect for the dead and their National Socialist sentiments through the Hitler salute. Following the memorial service the dead was transferred to the German Marienburg (Malbork). In the background, the Nogat bridge and the German Customs Office flagged with swastika flags
