As a farmer and mayor of Ruhpolding and chairman of the Bavarian Farmers Association Eisenberger was in the Bavarian Landtag for the Centre Party and was a model of Ludwig Thoma's Filser'. The photo is a portrait from 1919, when Eisenberg was also temporarily in the Berlin Reichstag
