German-Americans and Nazi sympathizers at a meeting of the National Socialist organization DAWA (German-American Economic Committee) at the Madison Square Garden during the Hitler salute. The National Socialist organization DAWA has called on the 8th of April 1934 a meeting to fight against the boycott campaign of the Jewish organizations in the United States. The Jewish organizations in the USA had called in the face of persecution of Jews in Germany for a boycott of German goods. At the event of the DAWA, which was attended by about 2, 500 German-Americans, were defended the anti-Semitic policies of the National Socialist government
