The German battleship SMS Koenig Albert

The SMS King Albert was the last ship of the Kaiser Class, a class of five dreadnoughts of the Imperial Navy. The Koenig Albert was put into service on 31 July 1913. Like her sister ships - with the exception of the Frederick the Great, which served as the fleet flagship - the Koenig Albert belonged to the III Squadron of the High Seas Fleet. The ships of the Kaiser class were the first German large-scale combat ships to be equipped with a turbine drive. At the end of 1913, the Koenig Albert was therefore selected together with the Kaiser and the light cruiser Strassburg to form the so-called Detached Division'. Undated picture
